*Daily 5

Side note:

In grade 1, we have introduced and began to do Daily 5.

Daily 5 consists of:

Reading to self
Reading to someone
Word work
Writing
Working with media

Centers are set up for the students to get a variety of the English Language Arts components throughout the week.

For the media part of our Daily 5, we would like to incorporate the iPads where students will have access to different games and activities for reading and writing (i.e. Abracadabra, Starfall etc.). In order to make this possible in the classroom setting we are asking that the students bring in a pair of earphones labelled or in a Ziploc bag. This will help keep the classroom calm while other students are reading or writing.

Thank you in advance! We are looking forward to our calm, Daily 5 afternoons!
